I see a mother and two children homeless in the great depression. This picture is supposed to be sad and make you feel sorry for them. The thing that catches my eye first is the mothers eyes. They look like she is really upset and in real need. It makes it eerie and upsetting. If the picture were in color it wouldn't be as upsetting because the color would make it look more colorful and happy. I also see the kids laying on her shoulders giving this a more emotional appeal. I picked this photo because I have seen this photo before.
